Multi-sport student-athlete Batallas filled the net in soccer, while also starring in the pool

Paty Dvorak played for the Griffins women’s soccer team for three seasons (1993-94, 94-95 and 97-98) and was named to the ACAC All Conference team each year.

She helped lead her team to an ACAC Championship in 1997-98 as the tournament’s most valuable player. That team went on to capture a bronze medal at the CCAA championship.

At the time of her induction, Paty was in the top-10 in ACAC women’s soccer career scoring with 34 goals in 25 ACAC contests.

In 1994-95, Paty also participated with the Griffins’ swim team, helping them win the ACAC Championship that season.

Following her graduation from the Police and Security Studies program, Paty served as an assistant coach with the women’s soccer team (1998-2000) when the Griffins posted a 24-2 record and won ACAC silver medals each year.

Paty is also a former employee of the MacEwan Centre for Sport and Wellness, remaining a strong supporter of all Griffins teams.

For her athletic abilities and contribution to Griffins Athletics, it is with pride and honour Paty Dvorak is inducted to the Griffins’ Wall of Distinction.
