EDMONTON – Due to mounting injuries from preseason play so far, the MacEwan Griffins men's hockey team has cancelled the back half of its non-conference series on Saturday vs. Mount Royal University.

The game was scheduled to be played on Saturday at the Downtown Community Arena in Edmonton after the Canada West foes met on Friday in Calgary (with MRU winning 6-0), but will no longer happen.

That means the next action for MacEwan will come on Sept. 15-16 in a home-and-home series vs. NAIT.
