EDMONTON – The versatility that Hannah Supina brings to the soccer pitch is going to go a long way as she prepares to embark on a Canada West career.

On Monday, MacEwan Griffins women's soccer head coach Dean Cordeiro announced the addition of the multi-talented Fort Saskatchewan product, who will join the program in the 2018 season.

"Top-end player," he said. "We're really excited about bringing her in. She's a dynamic player who can play virtually every position on the pitch.

"She can play anywhere, but we're really excited about what she can do as a winger or attack-minded fullback," he noted.

"Hannah's a dynamic player, has a great engine, can score goals, can create, plays with an edge and is just super coachable and a strong student-athlete. So, she just checks a lot of boxes for us, which we're excited about."

Cordeiro has firsthand knowledge as Supina plays for his women's club team, Northwest United. The Edmonton Inter product played for Team Alberta at multiple levels and was involved with the RPC program (Regional Performance Centre, now known as REX, Regional Excellence) in her youth.

"She's been an elite player throughout her youth days," said Cordeiro. "We feel that she'll immediately make an impact for us, which is good because we've got a lot of returners and now we're adding to our talent pool.

"It's exciting to add a player of this pedigree to the mix for 2018."
