Kaitlin Rolph, Women's Volleyball
Second Star of the Week for the week ending Feb. 14, 2026
EDMONTON – A huge reason why the Griffins women’s volleyball team was able to push U SPORTS No. 1 Alberta on the weekend was the defensive play of libero Kaitlin Rolph, who was electric in keeping multiple points alive.
As the captain of serve-receive, she also kept MacEwan’s passing in check against a tough-serving Pandas team, allowing the rest of the offence to go to work.
In Friday’s 3-0 loss, she finished with 11 digs, four assists and 16 receptions.
In Saturday’s 3-0 loss, Rolph had 11 digs, two assists and 15 receptions.
For the season, Rolph finished fourth in Canada West in both digs (231) and digs/set (3.12). She was also ninth in the conference in receptions with 435.
The Griffins hit the road for a Canada West Play-In best-of-three series at UFV on Friday (7 p.m. MT), Saturday (7 p.m. MT) and Sunday (4 p.m. MT, if necessary, all Canada West TV).
