EDMONTON – Continuing her strong first semester, the fourth-year goaltender stopped 29 of 30 shots she faced in MacEwan’s 1-0 loss to Regina on Saturday.

Johnson did all she could to give her team a chance to win the game, including a breakaway stop on Regina’s Brooke Fofonoff, but they ultimately couldn’t score.

For the season, Johnson is among the Canada West leaders with a 2.03 GAA and .935 save percentage. Her save percentage is tied for sixth in the conference.

The Griffins hit the road for a pair of games this weekend at UBC (Friday, 8 p.m. MT and Saturday, 4 p.m. MT, Canada West TV).
