Prior to that, he was the Director, Athletics & Recreation at Concordia University of Edmonton from 2013-21. During his tenure there, he oversaw the Thunder win six (6) CCAA National Championship titles, received the CCAA Community Service Award for the department’s “11 Days of Giving” campaign, and earned the ACAC Director of the Year award in 2017-18 ... Mrak served the ACAC Executive (2014-2021) in the roles of VP Marketing, VP Finance & Operations, and Director, Leadership, and also on the CCAA Executive (2016-2021) in the roles of VP Marketing, VP Safe Sport, and ACAC Director ... Prior to transitioning to the role of Director, Athletics & Recreation, he held various leadership positions as the Executive Director of Judo Alberta and Technical Director of Ringette Alberta ... Mrak represented the CCAA and Canada as 1 of 2 Athletic Directors selected by U SPORTS to attend the 2016 FISU Forum in Montpellier, France ... Within varsity sport, Mrak spent seven seasons coaching volleyball at Lethbridge College, Niagara College, and Concordia University of Edmonton ... He also served as the Head Coach of the Team Canada Women’s Deaf Volleyball Team that earned a silver medal at the 2012 Pan AM Games for the Deaf (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and later qualified for the 2013 Deaflympics (Sofia, Bulgaria) ... Mrak currently sits as a volunteer on the board of directors of Coach Alberta ...
