Trevor Norton

(Inducted April 2001)

Trevor Norton was a member of the Griffins’ men’s volleyball team for four seasons from 1981 to 1985. As a key leader, he was recognized as an Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference all-star each year and a Canadian Colleges Athletic Association All-Canadian twice.

He was named the most valuable player at the CCAA national championships in 1984 as MacEwan captured a silver medal.

Trevor was a very talented athlete who jumped incredibly well and had an uncanny ability to attack the ball where the opposition wasn’t. Trevor was a fierce, never-give-up athlete, who helped bring out the best in his teammates.

Trevor was a strong student in Police and Security studies at the college and worked with the Athletics and Recreation department as an Intramural program assistant.

Following his graduation, Trevor helped as an assistant with the Griffins men’s and women’s teams for another two seasons.

For his athletic abilities and contribution to Griffins Athletics, it is with pride and honour that Trevor Norton is inducted to the Griffins’ Wall of Distinction.
