For the second-straight season, the MacEwan University men's soccer team will kick off their 2017 Canada West campaign in August.

The Griffins will visit Calgary (Aug. 26) and Mount Royal (Aug. 27) to launch their season before returning for their home-opening weekend on Sept. 2 (vs. Saskatchewan, Noon) and Sept. 3 (vs. Lethbridge, Noon) at Jasper Place Bowl.

MacEwan will be aiming for the playoffs a season after finishing 2-11-3. Another highlight of their campaign includes a season-ending home and home against cross-town rival Alberta – the defending Canada West and national champions – Oct. 14 (Noon, JP Bowl) and Oct. 15 (2:15 p.m., Foote Field).

The Canada West Final Four will be hosted by the highest Pacific Division seed during the first weekend of November. The U Sports men's championship is set for Nov. 9-12 at Thompson Rivers University.

Again this season, CW is set to offer an extensive soccer webcast package via Canada West TV – the conference's official streaming platform. Over 150 conference soccer games were streamed in 2016, with that number scheduled to grow in the coming years.

A full list of package options will be available mid-August, when the conference unveils its new streaming platform, as part of the conference's rebrand.
