Griffins looking for volunteers, registration open for Jan. 27 MacEwan Invitational

MacEwan Athletics

EDMONTON – The MacEwan Griffins are looking for volunteers to help with the 2017 MacEwan Invitational indoor track and field meet at the Kinsmen Centre Field House on Jan. 27.

MacEwan University will be hosting the event, which will feature indoor track teams from around the Alberta College Athletic Conference.

Volunteers will be asked to assist in various capacities between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., including registration, event management and operations, and facility set-up and takedown. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Open competitors can click here to register for the meet up until Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. provided they meet the following seed times: Women 1000m (3:18), Women 1500m (5:10), Women 3000m (11:15), Women 4x400m relay (4:30), Men 1000m (2:50), Men 1500m (4:38), Men 3000m (9:45), Men 4x400m relay (3:48).

Open entries from younger athletes will be accepted so long as the verified/proven seed performance meets the minimum indicated. Non-ACAC teams are to register in the open category.
