EDMONTON – Continuing a strong pipeline of talent coming from Calgary, the MacEwan Griffins men's basketball team has added guard Dele Osuma for the 2023-24 Canada West season, head coach Mike Connolly announced Monday.

The 6-foot-3 guard led Calgary's All Saints high school into the provincial 4A quarter-finals with contributions on both sides of the court. He averaged 18 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game during the season.

"Dele can really defend the basketball and he has the ability to score," said Connolly. "He is deceptively athletic, and this will allow him to help us right away."

A product of Supreme Hoops Canada, Osuma will enter MacEwan's Bachelor of Science program in the fall.

"Dele fits our program well," said Connolly. "His character, work ethic and competitive nature will allow him help our team. The future is bright with Dele and our program."
