MacEwan University announced today that Director of Athletics Ken Schildroth has left the university.

"We thank Ken for his dedication and significant contributions to the Griffins Athletics program," says Dr. Craig Monk, MacEwan's Provost and Vice-President Academic. "Ken played an important role in the growth of Griffins Athletics, including the successful transition to competition in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association conference. We wish him every success as he joins his family in Ontario."

In the short term, the university has appointed Lindsay McAlpine, head coach of the Griffins women hockey team, as interim director as it prepares to begin the search for the university's next Director of Athletics in April, 2021.
