EDMONTON – Our 2020-21 virtual awards ceremony continues today as we recap our Academic Award winners, which have been revealed over the last five days on our @MacEwanGriffins Instagram and Twitter accounts.
With Canada West competition cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's not possible to recognize our student-athletes from an athletics performance lens as we would in a normal season, but the academic pursuit of excellence remains unchanged.
We are proud to recognize 17 Top Academic Griffins student-athletes, who were leaders in the classroom for MacEwan Athletics.
"Academic performance in the 2020-21 season exemplifies the resilience of our Griffins student-athletes," said Interim Director of Athletics Lindsay McAlpine. "This critical pillar of success lays the groundwork for all other goals and accomplishments in the student-athlete portfolio. Congratulations to these celebrated leaders in our classrooms."
