WORCESTER, Mass. – Former Griffins men's hockey players Cam Reagan and Ethan Price have signed professional contracts to play for the Worcester Railers, the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders announced Tuesday.

Reagan, 25, was an assistant captain in his final university season with the Griffins in 2021-22 and finished with three goals and 10 points in 18 games, playing a key role on the team's blueline.

Over three seasons with the Griffins since joining the team in 2018, the Sherwood Park product produced 46 points in 74 games, helping MacEwan win the ACAC championship in 2019.

Price, 25, served as captain of the Griffins in 2021-22 before leaving partway through the campaign to pursue a pro opportunity in Worcester, so he's returning to Railers after playing 17 games for them last season. He had two goals and seven points in 14 games with the Griffins in their inaugural Canada West season.

Both Price and Reagan previously played together in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers.

"We're happy and proud of those guys of their hard work and accomplishment in school," said Griffins interim head coach Zack Dailey. "Kind of the return is we're here to develop them as people and hockey players, so they do have an opportunity to go play pro if they want to. We're happy that it worked out in both cases."

Both Price and Reagan are among 18 players the Railers have signed so far as they prepare for training camp Oct. 10 and their season opener Oct. 22.
